I have been renting from this Enterprise branch through my insurance after my car was totaled in a hit and run. The manager, Candice, has made everything so easy and straightforward. She helped me swap out cars for a mountain trip I had, been flexible and has answered every question. She's made this stressful situation a little less stressful. I almost never write reviews, but great customer service should be acknowledged -- thank you!

We had requested a ‘Premium’ car, but instead we were given a Buick Encore (Small SUV). This was not what we had ordered and was a big disappointment to us as it didn’t meet our needs in terms of boot size, nor our expectations in terms of drive and comfort. We were advised that this was an “upgrade” and that there were no other cars available, so not wanting to delay the start of our trip we had no choice but to take it as no one seemed interested in giving us another option. We checked the exterior of the car for bumps and scratches, but assumed outside of this that the car was safe and roadworthy, as you would expect.Later that day we noticed that the steering wheel in the car was not in a straight position and the steering itself was mis-aligned, we then checked and saw also that the tyres had extremely little tread remaining on the outside rim, one more so than the other. We telephoned Enterprise Colefax to ask them whether there was another car we could change, but there was a total lack of interest in resolving our problem, we did ask for the manager of Colfax to follow up with us, but heard nothing. We also contacted the online chat the next day and were told to seek out another Enterprise. We then drove a couple of hours round trip to the nearest Enterprise at Loveland, but got the same response. At this point, we gave up trying to change our car and decided to press on with our holiday.Initially we were more concerned about the wrong car class type, than the tyres or alignment, but as this was mentioned and our concern was never escalated, we told ourselves to move on and enjoy our trip. To be clear, no one from Enterprise followed up with us.Later in our trip, we noticed that one front tyre had got so worn, it was a danger to my family to continue to drive on it. We stopped to call Enterprise breakdown services (at our cost as internationally rates for UK phone) and were told we would be charged for someone to come out and change our tyre. We accepted this and were told to wait for a call back / text message to update us. We never received either. In the end, after waiting and not knowing if or when help would arrive, I put on the spare and we drove approximately 50 miles to Vernal to get this resolved.Having paid for one new tyre and lost an afternoon and the next morning of our holiday sorting these issues, we carried on with our trip. We didn't change the second tyre, as although this was hardly road worthy, we didn't want to incur more cost ourselves.At some point in our trip, I realised that the worn tyres were likely a direct result of the misaligned steering. I can only assume that the car I was driving had been circulating in the system for sometime, being rented to numerous enterprise customers without the issue being addressed.The car we were given to drive was completely sub-standard and frankly a death trap. There was no interest in our safety shown at all and the experience was stressful to say the least. I would completely expect that the tyres and maintenance on any car should be checked before it is hired out. My family was lucky not to end up having a terrible accident.When we returned the car, we advised Enterprise representatives of the problems and received a lacklustre apology. My family was very disappointed in the lack of interest in our safety, the substandard state of the vehicle, the lack of communication and poor service we received from Enterprise.To add to this, on our return from holiday, we get an email copy of a letter issued stating “damage” to the car and requesting our insurance details? We were a bit shocked by this, given everything we had experienced. The claim was later dropped.I came to Colorado to take in the amazing countryside and enjoy the best of America. We weren't disappointed with the views, but we didn't like the Cowboys...a.k.a Enterprise.
