Enterprise Rent-A-Car Introduce
For many residents across South Carolina, and particularly in the bustling city of Rock Hill, access to a reliable rental car is often a necessity. Whether your personal vehicle is in the repair shop, you're planning a family vacation, or you need temporary transportation for business, choosing the right car rental provider is key. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a well-known name in the industry, has a significant presence in Rock Hill. This article will delve into the details of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location at 1020 N Anderson Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730, USA, providing a comprehensive and factual guide for local South Carolina users.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch in Rock Hill is conveniently located at 1020 N Anderson Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730, USA. This address places it along a prominent road, North Anderson Road, which is a key artery providing easy access for residents throughout Rock Hill and the surrounding York County areas, including Fort Mill, Lesslie, and Newport. Its location makes it particularly accessible if you are having your vehicle serviced at a local auto repair shop, as highlighted by a customer review. Enterprise is widely recognized for its complimentary "Pick-Up Service," where they can arrange to collect you from a local residence or repair shop and bring you to their office to complete your rental. This service significantly enhances convenience, especially for South Carolinians who might be without their primary mode of transportation. Its neighborhood presence, as opposed to an airport location, often means a more direct and less complex rental process for local customers.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers a comprehensive suite of services and a diverse fleet designed to meet varied transportation needs. The Rock Hill branch, as part of this extensive network, typically provides access to:
- Standard Car Rentals: A wide range of vehicles, from fuel-efficient economy and compact cars (like a Nissan Versa or Mitsubishi Mirage) to comfortable mid-size and full-size sedans (such as a Toyota Corolla or Chevrolet Malibu) suitable for daily commutes, errands, or short trips.
- SUVs: Various sizes of SUVs, from crossover to full-size (e.g., Hyundai Kona, Toyota RAV4, Chevrolet Tahoe), ideal for family trips, road trips across South Carolina's diverse landscapes, or those needing extra cargo space.
- Minivans and Passenger Vans: Options like the Chrysler Pacifica or a 12- or 15-passenger van, perfect for larger families, group outings, or accommodating more passengers for events.
- Pickup Trucks: Available for utility needs, small moves, or hauling materials, though specific towing policies should always be confirmed directly with the branch. Enterprise also has dedicated Truck Rental locations for larger commercial needs.
- Luxury and Specialty Vehicles: Depending on inventory, this location might offer premium sedans or even convertibles and sports cars for special occasions.
- Long-Term Rentals: Flexible options for extended rental periods, whether your car is undergoing lengthy repairs or you need a vehicle for several weeks or months. Enterprise provides competitive rates for these longer durations.
- One-Way Rentals: The convenience of picking up a vehicle in Rock Hill and returning it to a different Enterprise location, facilitating seamless travel across South Carolina or beyond.
- Optional Add-ons: Services like GPS navigation, child safety seats (infant, toddler, booster), and various protection plans (Damage Waiver, Supplemental Liability Protection, Roadside Protection) are available to enhance your rental experience.
- After-Hours Service: For vehicle returns outside of regular business hours, the branch typically provides a secure key drop-off box, though customers remain responsible for the vehicle until it's checked in.
Customer experiences at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Rock Hill, SC, present a mixed yet valuable perspective, highlighting both operational challenges and areas where improvements are needed.
- Significant Wait Times: A recurring issue is the long wait times, with customers reporting needing to "clear your calendar for at least an hour out" and preparing "to wait." This suggests the branch is often understaffed or overwhelmed by demand, leading to frustration for customers seeking timely service.
- Vehicle Maintenance Concerns: A critical highlight is the report of a rental vehicle having a "tire pressure light was already on" at pickup, followed by a "slow leak" that caused significant disruption to a family road trip. This points to a potential lapse in thorough vehicle inspections and maintenance prior to rental, raising safety concerns.
- Inconsistent Vehicle Cleanliness: While a customer noted they were a "clean car person," they extensively detailed finding "chocolate on steering wheel," "unknown gunk around center controls," "nut shells, pens, a pound of sand and dirt on drivers side mat," and "so much road dirt around doors and trunk." Furthermore, a replacement vehicle was described as "filthy," with a windshield so dirty it was difficult to see out of. This indicates inconsistent cleaning standards, especially during busy periods.
- Lack of Proactive Problem Resolution: Despite a one-day refund offered for the dirty car, there was no offer of compensation or adjustment for the lost day of travel and inconvenience caused by the tire issue, or the subsequent dirty replacement vehicle. This suggests a reactive rather than proactive approach to customer service when significant problems arise.
- Easy Pick-Up and Apology: On the positive side, the initial pick-up process itself was described as "easy," and an apology was given for the tire issue. This indicates a baseline level of operational functionality.
- Customer Loyalty Impacted: The disappointment expressed by a long-time customer who "trusted for clean, reliable vehicles" underscores that these issues can significantly erode customer trust and loyalty, especially when safety is a concern.

For South Carolina locals in Rock Hill, Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 1020 N Anderson Rd stands as a generally accessible option for car rental needs, particularly beneficial due to its neighborhood location and Enterprise's well-known pick-up service. It offers a broad spectrum of vehicles to suit various purposes, from daily errands to longer trips. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They are so busy they can't keep up with the amount of people that needs to be helped in a timely manner. Clear your calendar for at least an hour out, and prepare to wait. After waiting 30 minutes I politely asked for an update and I was dismissively told another 5 to 10 minutes, because they were cleaning still.
Jun 16, 2025 · HertestineI rented a car a day early to get a head start on a road trip. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we picked up the vehicle, the tire pressure light was already on. We informed the staff, and all they did was put air in the tire—no real inspection or assurance that the car was road-ready.The next morning, just as we were about to hit the road with five children, the tire pressure light came back on. Turns out, there was a slow leak. We had to wait until Enterprise opened to return the car and get a replacement. This cost us an entire day of our trip—a day I paid for but couldn’t even use. They did switch out the car, and I did receive an apology, but the replacement vehicle was filthy. You could barely see out of the front windshield, it was so dirty. Despite the inconvenience and safety concerns, there was no offer of compensation or adjustment to the rental cost.Enterprise used to be a company I trusted for clean, reliable vehicles. I understand it’s summer and busy season, but that’s no excuse for poor maintenance and quality control. This could have ended badly, especially with five children in our care.Disappointed in this experience. I expected better.
Jun 28, 2025 · Niesha GowensDisappointed by the Lack of Professionalism – Rock Hill, SC LocationWhen I first arrived at the Rock Hill, SC Enterprise, the lady assisting me was very nice and understanding, which I appreciated. But once she went outside to inspect the car, things took a turn. She said the vehicle smelled like smoke but I do not smoke. What she was likely smelling was someone standing outside near the car who was smoking. Then she claimed there were ashes in the car, which was not true I had vacuumed it thoroughly before returning it. I honestly don’t know what point she was trying to make. From that moment on, the service felt dismissive and unprofessional. She didn’t do a walk-around inspection with me, which I thought was standard. She didn’t even tell me which car was mine just handed me the keys and told me to have a nice day. I had to press the key fob and follow the sound of the horn just to find out which car I was supposed to get in.To make things worse, the car wasn’t even clean when I picked it up. It clearly hadn’t been vacuumed or properly detailed. That’s very unusual for Enterprise, which is why this entire experience was so disappointing. This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had with Enterprise, and I hope management at the Rock Hill location takes this feedback seriously. Customers deserve better.
Jun 30, 2025 · Ms ShortcakeI had an emergency situation and need to rent a heavy duty truck. I had spoken to Trey at the Truck Rental in the Rock Hill location. He wasn't sure if they would have any returns. I called the next day and still no returns. After several calls and communicating with Trey, he was able to get me a truck and make it happen. He went above and beyond. The process was quick and easy. Customer service was 5 stars across the board. I will be calling Trey if I need a truck rental in the future. Great Job Sir....!!
