- Diverse and Clean Fleet: Customers generally find the cars to be "exactly what we needed, clean, and comfortable," indicating a commitment to maintaining a well-prepared and varied fleet suitable for different purposes and preferences.
- Flexible Return Options: The "ability to return at a different location was great," which is a significant advantage for travelers planning one-way trips across California or beyond.
- Reasonable Rates: Customers have noted that the "rate was reasonable," suggesting competitive pricing for their services.
- Professional and Courteous Staff: While there can be inconsistencies, positive reviews highlight staff members like "Kim" who were "kind and thorough," and mention "good experience" overall, indicating that many customers receive helpful and professional service.
(Note on customer feedback: One review highlights a specific customer service issue regarding the pick-up/ride policy, which appears to be a point of frustration due to a lack of clear communication. This underscores the importance of customers confirming specific services and policies, such as shuttle availability and hours, directly with the branch beforehand, especially for the "free pick-up service" which generally has specific operating hours and radius limitations.)

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 12 Stars for Poor Customer Service at Enterprise (Long Beach Location)I gave this Enterprise location two stars due to disappointing customer service. When I asked for a ride home, I was told they stop offering rides after 4:30 PM—even though they're open until 6 PM. This policy was never mentioned during the multiple times I called in advance, nor was it posted anywhere in their office. When I asked why I wasn’t informed, I was told it was my responsibility to request a return ride ahead of time. That kind of dismissive attitude (which came from the manager) is exactly why I won’t be returning to this location. In contrast, the San Pedro branch provided excellent customer service. The staff and manager there went above and beyond—they credited me for one rental day and proactively asked if I needed a ride home. I didn’t even have to ask. That’s how you build loyalty and earn referrals. The Long Beach location is lucky I gave them two stars.
Jul 12, 2025 · Entrepreneurial SpiritGood experience. The girls who helped us were kind and thorough, especially Kim. The car was exactly what we needed, clean, and comfortable. The ability to return at a different location was great! The rate was reasonable. Transportation to and from the cruise terminal would have been nice, but the walk was not unpleasant.
Jun 08, 2025 · Randon JensenI hired a car for 1 day. I reserved a premium car (Audi A3 or similar) which you said you had it available and when I turned up you only had a standard car available. This was very disappointing as we only chose enterprise for the premium car options. We had no other option but to accept a lower standard vehicle and this seems like a scam enterprise pull a lot from speaking with friends and colleagues who have also hired from enterprise. On top of this we had to wait over 30 minutes at your office after our reservation request time. This ate into our day of having the car. After returning the car at the end of the day I was then later charged for 2 days car hire instead of 1 day. When I called the long beach office the male employee I spoke with knew exactly what he had done and I knew he was trying to get away with charging me for a second day as I was a foreign visitor. There was no apology, all he said was “I’ll ask our accountant to remove the charge”. I asked if I could have this in writing via email to confirm the refund was going to be processed and he said “ok” but unfortunately no email was sent.I then had to wait several days for the refund to appear on my credit card. After chasing your long beach office multiple times.Extremely disappointed with the overall service and the way I was treated. I hire many cars from your competitors on a monthly basis overseas and I will definitely avoid enterprise for future car rentals.
Mar 02, 2025 · TomI just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional experience I had with Andrew at Enterprise’s Long Beach Downtown location. It’s seemingly increasingly rare to have such a wonderful and helpful customer service experience. Andrew was able to provide me with the answers to all my questions and suggested the best options for my specific circumstances. His expertise and knowledge made the rental car experience a breeze, so much a breeze that without a doubt I’ll be returning to Enterprise again in the future. Thanks Andrew I truly appreciate your efforts and I hope I’m able to use your assistance again in the future!-Cleoado
Feb 07, 2025 · Composer Cleo (Composercleo)I am not one to write negative reviews, but this place more than deserves it. I have never had this kind of issue with a business before. I am appalled and disappointed in the customer service provided by this office. My husband and I got into a small car accident about a month ago, and had to rent a car while ours was repaired. When we picked up the car, the agent offered an additional protection plan “for a few days,” and we agreed to 3 days worth of the protection plan as we had to drive out of state. We asked if the protection plan would self terminate or if we had to do anything to end the plan. The agent assured us that the protection plan “would fall off in three days.” My husband specifically asked if we needed to make any calls to remove this, and she said “no, it’ll fall off on its own.”One month has passed and the time came to settle our contract. Turns out the protection plan we were sold did NOT fall off, but enterprise was charging us $37 per day for the protection plan that was supposed to only have lasted 3 days. I spoke to two agents at this location, including the one who sold me the plan. The one who sold me the plan went as far as admit to telling us we didn’t need to call anyone to remove the plan, but somehow I have been told by two agents that it’s their policy that we have to go into an Enterprise location to remove the protection plan. This is not what we were told. There were two of us listening for instructions and we were NOT told to go into an Enterprise to remove the plan. We were told it would fall off. We are not liars. We are not slackers. Had I been told I had to go into an agency, I would have booked the appropriate appointment that same day. There was a mistake in their end. A miscommunication. Use whatever term you want to use. But it is NOT our fault that this protection plan we didn’t want got charged. This mistake was on Enterprise’s hands. We never wanted the protection plan beyond the 3 days. I should not be paying $1,000 for their mistake. I cannot understand why this branch won’t issue me a refund for their mistake. This is worse level of customer service I’ve ever seen. I have spoken with a different branch who is trying to help me close this issue out and they are also flabbergasted as to why this Enterprise can’t own up to their mistake and reimburse me. I should not be paying for their mistake.Pick somewhere else to rent your car. This place runs scams and does NOT take care of their customers. It’s so ironic I’ve been on hold for so long hearing about their “standard of care” and “standard of customer service.” What a joke. This place is a joke. My first hint that they are shady should have been when they put me in a more expensive car than what I asked because supposedly nothing else was available. I wanted a $30/day car, but they put me in a $42/day car instead “at a discount” because of availability. And now they’ve been charging an additional $37/day! For something I didn’t want. Their mistake.Ps- im not paying that $1,000. I will be in touch with BBB this afternoon.Pay attention to the 1 star reviews here, folk and drive on to somewhere else.
