I was asked to bring the car back and exchange. They could’ve easily just brought me a car to where I was. Never again huge inconvenience extremely dissatisfied.

May 23, 2025 · Virginia AbrahamPAY NO MIND TO ENTERPRISE CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSES. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW UP. THEIR RESPONSE IS FOR SHOW! THIS WAS NEVER ADDRESSED!I reserved a car from this location after having a wonderful experience at your Wallingford location (I even left a 5☆ review for them). I paid to Uber over here. They didn't have my reservation available, no biggie. I had to wait while they found me something else, cool. I'm flexible.They asked me if I wanted their coverage, no thank you. I just paid for a full week of rental car insurance thru Allianz. Did the walk around, all set. Time to pay. I hand over my credit card for the total of the rental and another card for the security deposit (both cards in my name). As previously mentioned, I rented a car thru Enterprise THE WEEK BEFORE doing the EXACT same thing. In fact, prior to my last rental I both verified via Google (and their website) that I can use two different cards, provided they match the name of the renter AND I called their 800# and spoke to a rep who assured me that was allowed. Why? Because Hertz doesn't allow it & I didn't do my due diligence once and was blindsided (my fault). The guy said, "I need to put the full balance on one card." I told him all of the above. I opened my credit card statements and showed him previous payments, and I opened the previous rental agreement that correlated. He says, "We are under a different umbrella, that umbrella is close to New York, they don't allow it do to theft." WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES THAT MEAN!? I'm not anymore likely to steal the car with one card then with two!? So standing in the store I call the 800# again. The agent on the phone was lovely and said, "It is more common to pay with one card, however, as a courtesy, any agent is allowed to accept two cards. It's a simple as splitting the payment. He can absolutely take two cards." She was even willing to get on the phone and speak to him. I didn't want to make her do all that, so I said her word should be plenty and that I would relay the message. "NOPE! My assistant manager is coming in shortly, maybe he will do it." In comes the manager, his name was Jeremy. "Sorry, can't allow it even though customer service said that we do. Customer service is based out of St. Louis, they have different rules. They don't follow the New York guidelines." So I asked to please be put in touch with the people who are in charge of those guidelines so that I may speak to them. He said, "I'm in charge of this branch, those are my guidelines." My husband kept asking to talk to his manager and he kept telling us to call their 800#, you know, the 800# that had totally different rules and regulations. None of this makes any sense. So here I am out the money for my Uber, the owner of a week long insurance policy that I can't use....I had to walk home and pull up rentals from their Wallingford store. Sadly, since I'm renting at the last possible second, my reservation now null & void, the rate to rent the exact same vehicle class is now $100 more expensive. I can't afford it. I just had to pay the same price for a Friday to Monday rental that I had reserved for a Friday to Thursday night rental. PLUS an Uber all the way to Wallingford. This has totally screwed me financially since I have to miss work on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. I can't tell you how upsetting this is! IF YOU ARE LOOKING BETWEEN NORTH HAVEN & WALLINGFORD SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO TO WALLINGFORD. They are so friendly, so helpful, have the vehicle you requested, they answer their phones and have sufficient staff, it's a well managed location. This one is a mess. The cars aren't available, they have to send people to grab what they do have from across the shop across the street, the phone rings off of the hook NONSTOP and no one picks up and they have their very own set of rules and regulations that aren't accountable to any other parts of their company and no recourse if you have an issue. Not to mention the "assistant manager" is supposedly the guy who runs the entire show with no manager of his own.
