I showed them I had a full coverage third party insurance and still didn't get a car. The process took an hour. Had to call my ride back to pick me up. They put hold on my credit card which was not released immediately. What a waste of time and money. I don't know how they are in business?

First, I was given a truck instead of the car class I chose (Toyota Camry size). Second, to get the correct size I had to come back the next day by 5 pm, cutting my time with an old friend short. Third, when I returned the car I made sure to take a picture of the dash showing the mileage and that the gas tank was full, as I always do. Three days later they fraudulently charged me $13 dollars for 1 gallon of fuel. I have called for the past week and a half and am always told “the manager will look into this tomorrow” but never get a call back. I have called and even spoke with the manager who assured me she would reverse the charge and she acknowledged my picture showed the vehicle was full of fuel but still no reversal of the charge. All of this is contingent upon the fact that I even get through because 90% of the time they don’t answer their phone and they have no voicemail setup either. My emails go unread too because every time I call they tell me to send a picture via email which I have already done three times now. It’s not the money that bothers me, it’s the principle of this company giving me the wrong car, making me come back from my visit to get the right car, and then falsely charging me for fuel when I have proof I returned it full. Then they don’t even have the courage to answer my calls or emails and be a decent company. I don’t plan on ever renting from this Hertz again, as they are an independent company (GSP Transportation out of SC), and not the corporate Hertz. This is probably why every time I book out of this location the cars are never correct like they are at a corporate Hertz. Overall, go to the other companies at the TRI airport vs this one (and Dollar/Thrifty that are also owned by GSP). They will fraudulently charge you for things and then not have the decency to reverse the charge when they realize they were caught.

They told me I already accepted the car and to call Roadside Assistance.I put air in it myself and filled the empty gas tank. The next morning the tire was at 17 pounds. I called thrifty roadside assistance and they told me they are a franchise and need to call the airport to see if I can get roadside assistance. There was no answer that evening nor the next 2 days but I did get a case number. I took the car back on the 3rd day because I did not want to get into an accident with the bad tire. I went to return the car early and I told Grafton the Manager that I filed a case and am returning the car early. He directed me to park the car up front and take the keys inside. I asked for a refund for the time I did not use the car. The agent called Grafton and he told her I would get no refund. I asked to talk to him so I can explain the situation and give him the case number so he could review it. He was discourteous and would not listen to the situation. He said they should have replaced the vehicle and am not sure why they did not. He also blamed me for not noticing the low tire before I drove off the lot. I asked him to look at eh case number an refund my money unused rental money and he said he is too busy and walked away. Later that afternoon I got a call from a counter agent asking if I had the keys, that they can't find them. I said they were left on the counter. Later that afternoon I got a threatening email...Here is part of the email he sent "We still have your contract open, with our vehicle you left parked in our lot and just need to get the key that you didn't return to us. The mailing address attached to my signature below is where it will need to be mailed to if you decide you don't want to come to the airport and bring it back to us. Your contract cannot be closed until we are able to take back possession of the vehicle and will continue to incur charges. If we do not receive the key in a timely manner, we must request a spare from our corporate office and charge your reservation a $350 key fee per your signed contract. " They lost the kay and are trying to blame me for it and want to charge me. And this is the Manager. If he did his due diligence he would have seen the key on the counter rather than walk away. All the need to do was refund my unused portion of the rental.

Either throttle the speed on vehicles at 80mph, inform customers verbally of the policy upon vehicle pickup, or offer a warning (or something… anything). But to permanently ban a frequent customer who was unaware of this policy? C’mon now.
Dec 19, 2024 · K WWorst company, they took over Hertz in bankruptcy, fired all the employees, kept the amount of cars available to rent at a minimum, and hiked the prices to absurd amounts. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND NOT YOU! They will deny features on your Hertz reservation and won't accept loyalty points. They also install cheap GPS trackers in their cars and make claims that you have been in an accident periodically. Like before, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND NOT YOU! They will try to charge you for little dings and scratches from normal driving. If you rent from a car company make sure it IS NOT GSP Transportation! Their number one goal is to profit no matter the circumstances. They filed for a PPP Loan and all of their employees disappear! THEY on blacklist you for anything:- driving too much (even with unlimited miles)- driving out of state (even with unlimited miles)-too many GPS alerts (hitting bumps)-too many GPS alerts (driving fast 80+mph)-too many GPS alerts (braking hard - avoiding accidents)-using discounts instead if paying full price-renting too much too oftenTHEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND NOT YOU! BEWARE!!!
