When I was about to pull away I went inside to let them know the car was in terrible shape and his answer was “You’re good”, as in I’m aware. I called to advise that I had to clean it myself and they apologized and said someone will call me back. No one did.When I dropped it off they apologized once again and said they were going to give me an adjustment. No “adjustment” was made so I paid full price.After leaving a review with Hertz it said someone will call me within 72 hours. No one did.DO NOT RENT FROM HERE AND I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ AGAIN.
May 25, 2024 · Francisco BirdNever again!Got dirty car 1hr later than contracted, agent wrote wrong fuel level in contract, she did not correct after I complained (which is totally unacceptable), got a car a category lower than booked and paid, customer service was not able to help and asked me to contact road assistance. Road assistance asked me to drive to next onsite location in Cape Coral. Hertz location in Cape Coral is permanently closed! Hertz didn't help me at all and kept me busy. Now will I have this car for 3 weeks and at return I have to discuss fuel level.What else a company can do worse than Hertz did?This is definitely the last time I booked at Hertz.

From the beginning, the service was unprofessional and misleading. I was quoted one price online, but when I arrived to pick up the car, the servise was rude and they did not explainme that the price is higher. When I asked for clarification, the staff was rude and unhelpful.It felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I left with a strong sense of being deceived. I expected transparency and honesty, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I will definitely not be using their services again and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

First off the person at the counter was totally dismissive and transactional, showed me a 5 seater when I had rented a 7 seater, no apologies and stated, let me see if I have that car, waited 30 minutes or so and another employee steps out stating I will get pics taken of your car, not sure what that meant.All this while these two employees converse in Spanish about a million things. Another 30 minutes and the employee comes back with a filthy Buick with pet hair, warning messages, scratches and front full of bugs.I had to vacuum the car prior to using due to it being filthy.The return process wasn't any better, the same two employees chit chatted, ignored me for a bit, finally one of them stepped out without stating the reason with the car keys. About 20 minutes later I inquired with the remaining staff member of the status, he called her only to inform me there will be a charge for gas, I showed him the pics at the time of pick up and i had topped with with a cpl of extra gallons, he backed down and stated ok, you don't have to pay then. The place is a total scam, rude employees and no recognition of gold status, I should have known better and rented from the airport or used Turo.Pics will better explain the vehicle condition.

My car was towed on Saturday because my community doesn’t issue parking passes over the weekend. Since then, dealing with Hertz has been an absolute nightmare.Inconsistent and Misleading Information: First, they tell me it could take up to a week to retrieve the car. Then, suddenly, it’s “in progress” and will be resolved today or tomorrow. Another employee can’t even confirm if anything has started. It’s like they’re making it up as they go along!Suspicious Delays: The constant runaround feels like a calculated tactic to rack up impound fees, all at my expense. This is beyond unethical—it’s outright exploitation.Complete Lack of Support and Accountability: I’ve been stranded without a car, forced to rely on expensive Uber rides, while Hertz drags its feet. Their apathy towards my situation is appalling. To make matters worse, every time I visit the office, the manager is conveniently “in a meeting” or unavailable, despite my waiting all morning for updates. It’s clear they couldn’t care less about their customers.Bogus Excuses for Simple Tasks: They claim retrieving an impounded car is a “tedious process” requiring a team, as if driving to the impound lot and picking up the car is rocket science. This is just another lame excuse for their incompetence.UPDATE: After I was there all morning, they told me the manager was going to come in around 2pm.... Once again they never showed up.... What do you mean you can't do anything on the matter? I requested to the representative to please have the manager call my phone; im not even expecting for him to call back at this point. Mind you the representative that was on the phone, is very rude, cutting me off when i was trying to shed light on the situation and all i think they are trained with is to always start saying no, cause clearly they are not even trying.I wouldn’t wish this ordeal on my worst enemy. Avoid Hertz at all costs! Submitting a claim to the BBB now.
