May 15, 2025 · Lucy EShort Version: The Manager (at least I think it was the manager, but he is African-American) has some issues and will interrupt his employee to go off on you if you did something wrong (in my case, being late for pickup). The employee deserves a better manager (or co-worker) and it is no wonder he, the employee, seemed uncomfortable when his manager (or co-worker) starts yelling at me. 0 Stars for the Manager/Co-worker, 5 Stars to the Employee that was assisting me.Long Version:The manager (or co-worker) is extremely rude and disrespectful. The employee was great and helpful (5 Stars to the employee). I was working on getting a car with his employee and he interrupts the employee to go off on me. The employee stated that I was late for pickup and the manager goes off on me. He stated very loudly, "We have the right to give away the car if you do not show up on time, and to google their phone number if I have to make changes to my pickup time". I told him I understand but he keeps going on and on about it. If the car wasn't available, the employee can do his job and state this. Then I could have walked away and blamed this on myself instead of writing a review about this interaction. The manager keeps arguing with me even though I told him I understand. The website clearly states that any changes to the reservation within 24 hours of pickup will charge you extra, but even a no-show will charge you as well. So I didn't make changes and I showed up to at least to not be charged either way. The manager should have kept to his lane while assisting the other customers. He did this not only in front of the employee, but other customers as well which I think some of them left because of that.For the Owner of this Location:I only went through Hertz because of the manager special which was a good deal in my opinion. I didn't care for what car I was going to get since it was for some light traveling. The time of the incident since you have a camera right there behind the desk, was around 3:50 PM on 3/14/25. The employee helping me was great, but the other employee or manager needs to work on his customer service. There are better ways he could have handled the situation and even let the employee helping me, go over what he said without having to interrupt our transaction. He made it extremely uncomfortable in the room. Even the employee seemed uncomfortable as well. I was pretty heated and annoyed with the situation. I should have left as soon as that happened instead of staying since the employee I was working didn't deserve my attitude after that argument. I will go to a different location next time to avoid being yelled at over such a small issue. I only showed up because there is a no-show fee and I was okay if the car was given away but didn't want to be charged for that fee. I would have rather been told we gave the car away instead of being yelled at for being late.
Mar 16, 2025 · TheNumb LockWhere do I even begin with this debacle of a situation… I searched and found a rate of $98 for 7-passenger vehicle on April 18, 2024, I attempted to book said car online through AAA. This car was not available. I called on April 19, 2024 at 11:30am and spoke with the manager Frank about the 7-passenger suv Suburban and why it wasn’t booking online. I asked if I could book it directly with him and refused stating he couldn’t online pricing and that the code AAA provides needs to be used in person versus booking online. Okay… I arrive to the location in person as requested after booking a reservation through AAA. I asked that the reservation be canceled and new one created. The woman undertaking the task decided to “UPGRADE” my reservation which isn’t what I asked for! I was charged $249 extra for a car that wasn’t even allowing booking on the website. They essentially said oh, well there’s nothing we can do. Due to a death on the family and my husband’s car being in the shop for service we needed a rental car immediately. The lady who assisted never provided the total amount. I was given three different prices $173, $98, and $112. Collective we had agreed on $112 for the rental since they could not ‘honor’ the $98 online or use the AAA I provided. After checking out I notice I was charged $160 per day instead of the $112. I called and spoke with Frank on April 21, 2024 and he was zero help he kept stating how do you feel you were overcharged when it was an upgrade? It wasn’t an upgrade it was a new booking reservation but if we want to go based on the previous reservation at $53 per day and pay the difference it still should’ve been under $112 per day. I do not recommend booking. Heed the reviews. The representatives are rude, unprofessional, and ignore you and purposefully make you wait more than 10 minutes before even acknowledging you. At pick up and drop off(April 23, 2024) the representative did not do a walk through luckily I took a video of possession and return of the car so I’m not overly charged more than already OVERCHARGED me! This location should be closed based on the poor reviews alone of the representatives and the service received. I will be disputing all charges with my bank. They gave me a dirty car but it was “fueled” I returned it cleaned and in better condition than it was rented to me. Pictures provided as proof of the condition of the car. As Frank stated on the call he was tasked with ‘cleaning’ the car and sending off to a different location but I happened to have rented it before it was sent to be delivered to the intended location. The lack of transparency and not honoring pricing per the rental agreement this rental agency needs to be reported and held accountable for their transgressions and taking advantage of clients and hindering and forcing undue financial consequences on the consumer/renter. Again heed the reviews and book elsewhere this hertz is a a bad business transaction.
Apr 23, 2024 · A. H.Avoid this Hertz location at all costs. I rented a “manager’s special” for $29/day and was given an EV with only 80 miles of charge and no adapter for Tesla chargers. After driving 20 miles and realizing charging was impractical, I returned the car within 4 hours.The manager (African-American) was unhelpful and claimed the computer was down (a lie), promising to email a receipt. Instead of the agreed $29, I was charged $109—including a bogus $50 refueling fee for an EV that wasn’t fully charged to begin with.Customer support refunded only part ($50) of it, but the experience was dishonest and frustrating. This location gives Hertz a bad name.
May 11, 2025 · Rt Denver91Was an hour late picking up my rental and got a short lecture from one of the workers about next time give us a call. Dude, I rent weekly traveling for work and never get lectured. Clearly needs to learn to be customer oriented and learn flexibility. There are other choices of places to rent from...I believe this was the manger and based on other reviews it seems Hertz needs to do some training with this manager. If I owned this location I would not be happy that customers are complaining and clearly there's been no behavior change.
