The worst experience I’ve encountered with a rental car. First the rental had been sitting for sooooo long that the vehicle needed a jump start in order to move. Once I leave the place, the gas gauge was on a quarter tank, I was advised it was on half. Come to find out within the next few hours I would know the gas gauge is broken. So I never knew where the gas was when I did put gas in it. The day of drop off the next day the car literally shuts off while I’m in the middle of driving down the busiest hwy I95. The only thing that would work is the brakes with cars going 80 mph and I’m all the way in the middle lane of 6 lanes I didn’t panic. I safely made my way to the shoulder and called the company. They advised that they were coming to jump it back and have me drive it back 45 mins to their office after it just cut off while I was driving. I expected them in 30 mins. They didn’t arrive for 2 hours and was still trying to get me to drive a dangerous ass car that wasn’t in rental conditions back to laurel from downtown Baltimore. Don’t waste your time with this rental car company. You might end up accidentally crashing and killing yourself with their cars!!!!I will never rent from this place again. Cars are trash!!!!

I am very grateful for Providence Auto. The staff has been such a blessing .. They are very understanding n helpful…They have very excellent customer service…and for me that is very important. I have recommended my friends n family.. I’ll tell anyone to go to them..I would definitely go to them if I ever needed to again wouldn’t even have to look around they would definitely be my first option. Customer service is trash. I spoke to Mary and explained need a rental for (2) weeks since my vehicle is in the shop. She tells me to come up to get a vehicle. I explained I’ll be coming on my lunch break and she says cool and then leaves. So now I spend 24 minutes of my break to get here. Used 20 knocking on the door and calling whoever the number they say call if no one is there and the door is locked. And basically waster my ENTIRE lunch break and wasted over $40 coming and going back for nothing. & Returning to work late from break for nothing. I definitely don’t recommend.

This company holds your security deposit for 30 days, they say for any tickets you might have incurred during your rental. I was also charged a $300 deposit because I have an out of state Driver's License which is not stated in there business contract it says they charge this amount if you are under 25 yrs of age, a Baltimore County resident or have a Provisional License. The vehicle was a 2017 Dodge Journey with a check engine indicator light on, Tire indicator light on and over 117,000 miles on it. The guy checking me in stating it was $50 a day but then charged me $60 a day. I wasn't made aware I only saw this after he charged me. He also insisted I use the company full coverage insurance at $15 a day. What should also be made clear to consumers is that the Rent To Own option is strictly only after you have rented their car for two weeks. So waste money on the two weeks renting then come up with a down payment of 15% towards your Rent To Own. Which the price of the car varies whom you speak to, in this instance I was told it would be 11,000 total asking price again for a 2017 Dodge Journey with a check engine light on, Tire indicator light on and over 117,000 miles on it. It should also be said upfront the Rent To Own option is only for a Term of 10 months to pay off so your bi-weekly payments will be high over $450.It's also worth mentioning they still have paper files so your personal information regarding your rental is sitting on the desk or in the file cabinet.CONSUMER BEWARE! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! As mentioned these people are scammers.
