If I could give ten stars to this experience, I would!In July, my mom and I booked a Lamborghini Huracán through Drive Colorado as a birthday surprise for my dad. We paid the deposit and were so excited to give him this unforgettable experience.The day before our reservation, I received a call from Joe, the owner, who let me know there were a few hiccups. The biggest issue was that the Lamborghini we had booked was in the shop and wouldn’t be ready in time. Joe immediately went above and beyond to make things right—he offered us the choice of either a Ferrari or a McLaren, both of which were more expensive than what we’d booked, but at no additional cost to us. We chose the Ferrari and appreciated how gracious and proactive Joe was in handling the situation.When we arrived, Shelby greeted us, walked us through the paperwork, and went over all the details of the car. She let us know the A/C in the Ferrari wasn’t working perfectly, but since it was a cool, cloudy day and the car was a convertible, it shouldn’t be an issue. She also told us we could come back later to switch to the McLaren—or even the Lamborghini once it was ready—if needed.We drove the Ferrari from Denver to Golden, and of course, the sun came out and we started to roast. I called Shelby, and she welcomed us back to swap cars. When we returned, Joe personally met us, walked my dad through the McLaren, and let us know we could still switch to the Lamborghini the next morning if we wanted.The McLaren was incredible, and my dad loved every second of it. The next morning, we met Shelby again to finally switch to the Lamborghini he had originally wanted. That car ended up being his absolute favorite, and we drove it up to Boulder before returning it.In the end, my dad was able to experience three amazing cars for the price of one, which turned a birthday gift into a once-in-a-lifetime memory. I rented a McLaren for the day, it’s always been one of my favorite cars and I had to experience driving one. It was everything I expected and more!
